Invested and Raised 10,000 dollars to produce a small micro-budget independent film in Albuquerque New Mexico.

Responsibility: Organizing cast, crew, equipment, and locations.

Major Accomplishment:
  • Premiered at the 2011 Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, California.
  • Winner of the Audience Choice Best Feature Award at the 2011 Staten Island Film Festival.

Title Helping Hands

Client Head Start OF Pasadena California

Filmed for the Head Start Organization, a government funded, non-profit program for underprivileged children. Project was intended to recruit volunteers and raise money for the program. Created concepts around slim to no budget and filled most production and postproduction roles personally.

Made as a promotion trailer to interest investors for the short film I would like to produce.

Story line: Danny is a young man who is on Death Row for murdering a black man, and he has very little time left. Carl, an ex-inmate who is rehabilitated becoming the prisons Chef and is Danny’s Father. Carl is faced with cooking his Son’s last meal. They both have not spoken to each other for more than two years. Carl wants to help Danny find remorse for his sins. Unfortunately, Danny has a lot of pent-up anger and hostility towards his father. Carl was never a good role model for Danny, and he blames himself for the outcome of Danny’s life. Carl seeks to make things right between him and his son before it is too late.

Title Shortcomings

Raised funds for the production in order to raise a budget to shoot the feature length film. Oversaw all stages of production. Worked closely with the writer to develop the screenplay.

Story Line: A dwarf takes his chances in the machine known as Hollywood. Initially, Hollywood gets the best of “Shorty.” By unfortunate chance, an absolutely gorgeous adult film queen, is the only person who gives this little man some much-needed help. The main character has one special treasure sitting behind his zipper that becomes revealed through a comical chain of events and just like that his Hollywood experience is redefined…. gigantically
