Ryan Pearson is a creative artist with professional experience in all aspects of film production. While his professional concentration is in directing, Ryan has film and commercial acuity in producing, editing, photography, as well as gripping and gaffing.
Ryan was born and raised in southern California. He began his college career in 1999 at Orange Coast College and Golden West College studying hospitality and culinary arts. Ryan took pleasure in culinary arts and impressed many with his capacity to create exquisite cuisine. He thought this would be his ultimate career path. However while fulfilling his general education requirements, Ryan opted to take a general film class that led him to his true passion and drive. He immediately changed his focus to film production. He uncovered an incredible talent in photography and his ability to put words into film.
In 2002, Ryan was accepted to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. This offered him the privilege of learning and working from the most talented and experienced film and television professionals the industry had to offer. Ryan discovered the magic that drove his desires: the ability to entertain while conveying valuable messages in the form of film– the most accessible artistic communication that exists in the modern world.
While at Art Center, Ryan made Directing his focus which began his production career that including: a short film “Shortcomings;” a United Nations PSA, (shown at the New York UN Conference); and a documentary for the Head Start Program in Altadena, CA. Ryan has also completed multiple spec commercials for the department health, VFW (Veterans of Foreign War), Maglite and Kiwi Shoe Polish. The United Nations PSA and Kiwi Shoe Polish Commercial was recognize with Telly, Addy and Davey awards.
